Cast of "Joseph" Announced
Jay County Civic Theatre has announced the cast
for our Spring production of
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
The 90th JCCT production is the classic
Biblical story of Joseph with music
by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice.
It will be presented on April 15-18 and April 21-25, 2010
at Arts Place in Portland, IN.
(NOTE: There will be no show on April 24, 2010 due to JCHS Prom.)
Director and Choreography will be by
the wonderful Ric VanSkyock.
For a full cast list please see the cast list here.

JCCT Board Members Change
The Jay County Civic Theatre's Board of Directors
held a special session in mid January, 2010
in order to replace two Board members who had
announced their intentions to resign.
Tim Morris replaced Lori McIntosh as Treasurer.
Larry Grier replaced Shanna Camacho.
Best of luck to the newbies,
and thanks for all your hard work, Lori and Shanna!!
The list of all Board members can be found here.

"Little Shop" Takes Over Portland
The Jay County Civic Theatre's 89th production
was LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS!
This was the classic love story about two shy,
bashful kids, a Sado-Masochistic dentist, a
greedy shop owner, a Girl Group chorus, and,
oh yeah, a blood-sucking alien plant.
Just your average pleasant evening of live theatre.
Music is by Alan Menken; book and lyrics is by
Howard Ashman. These are the talents responsible
for Disney Classics The Little Mermaid and
Beauty and The Beast.
The show is based on the movie of the
same name, directed by Roger Corman
with a screenplay by Charles Griffith.
The show was directed by veteran JCCT
director Steve Tatman, returning to
the chair for the first time since 2007's
Complete Works of William Shakespeare.
Steve was supported by Assistant Director Diane Whitenack
and Jan Rittenhouse as Musical Director.
The cast list and several great photos from
the production as well as some posed (and candids)
are available here.
There are some new faces
along with a couple of old favorites,
and that helped make this a fun show.
I'm sure if you didn't get a chance
to see it in person, you'll enjoy the photos.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
